I need to replace my brakes on my auto and would like to get a good deal on them. I have always had great luck at Napa auto store and was wondering if they have a store in Compton, CA?
There is a NAPA Auto Parts Store on 7314 Alondra Boulevard, Paramount CA which is very close to Compton. There is also one on 1912 West Carson Street, Torrance CA which is a little further away.
You can find it a lot of different national auto stores. If they don't carry it in their store at all times, they can typically order one for you. Another great place to look is on ebay.com.
I have a 2006 Ford Escort that needs a new o2 sensor. Since NAPA is closest to my home, can someone tell me the price of universal oxygen sensors at NAPA?
On the NAPA website(www.napaonline.com) you can find universal oxygen sensors online ranging in price from $19.99 to $104.00. You may be able to get it at a lowered price if you stopped by at your local NAPA dealership.
I recently purchased my dream car; an original Harley Earl 1953 corvette. Where can I get brakes that fit this model of corvette? Will I have to special order them or can I get them at any local auto store?
You are going to have to special order those brakes as they are too old for an auto parts store to carry. In fact, an auto parts store can most likely special order them for you, saving you the hassle.
I'm pretty good with mechanical repairs, but I've never done anything with glass. Could I get a new windshield for my Honda Accord at an auto supply store and do the replacement myself?
Most auto supply stores wont have windshield glasses for a particular model. You will have to either got to a place that deals with Honda parts or have a windshield cut to fit the Honda Accord. Then if you have the proper equipment then you will be able to install the windshield yourself.
I've only used Ford Motor Company parts and supplies for my 2008 Mustang. They do cost more, but I trust their quality. Is it safe to use third party parts and supplies if I get them at a reputable auto supply store? What about the deals online? Any advice is appreciated.
If you purchase products from a reputable auto supply store then you should be fine. The stores usually have replacement warranties on all the parts that they sale so if something does go wrong then you are covered.
One of my tires was destroyed by some broken glass in a parking lot. My car has relatively expensive tires. I want to get just one tire, of the same brand, to replace the ruined one. One auto and tire store says I have to buy at least two, so the rear tires match in wear. Isn't it okay to buy just one?
You can just buy one if that's all you can afford. But your ride could be come uneven and throw off the car's balance. Try looking for a used tire of your make that has some wear and tear. It will be cheaper and will be a closer match to your other tire.
